A propos de moi
Frances Perkins is often called the "Champion of American Workers" because of her monumental contributions to labor reform in the United States. She was the first woman to serve in the U.S. Cabinet, holding the position of Secretary of Labor from 1933 to 1945 under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Her achievements include establishing Social Security, advocating for unemployment insurance, creating laws that protected workers from exploitative practices, and helping to set a minimum wage.
